Volunteer Areas of Interest and Descriptions (1 of 2 pages)

Pre-Harlem Bookfair Office Support:
Ticket orders on phone; Filing; Errands; Posting no parking signs on streets; Accepting deliveries; Organizing materials; Providing information on phone and/or emails.
Requirements: Good phone skills, courteous, friendly, problem solving skills.
Event Set Up:
Set up shift begins: 6:00am - 1:00pm
Break down shift begins: 2:00pm -8:00pm

Help coordinators lay out booth spaces; Welcome and help groups in setting up; Deliver boxes shipped in advance to vendor spaces; Set up and take down banners,poles and displays; Deliver and collect tables and chairs; Assit as needed.
Requirements: Physically fit, problem solving, team player.

Wheatley Book Awards Event and Reception:
Greet & check in arriving volunteers, vendors, authors, publishers, press, etc.; Provide information.
Requirements: People Skills, Hospitality

Children's Pavillion:
Set up the pavillion; Assist in supervising a diversity of children's activities; Managing the stage schedule; Helping the characters; Maintaining the schedule; Providing information.
Requirements: Enjoy being with children, Customer care. 

HBF Booths:
Give out information about the fair events; Direct people; Lost and found; Sell merchandise.
Requires: alert, reliable,honest, cordial,helpful
