Call it what you want, urban fiction currently drives the market. While pundits debate its value to the reader, hundreds of thousands of dollars are being made and its' authors debate where to bank. But what price this largesse? Are we being 'real' or being really pimped, or both? Are we dummying down the market or meeting the market as it really is? Is it creative writing or have we met our Homer Simpson?
