The Fruit of the Soul is a collection of more than 30 inspirational stories based on the biblical term "Fruit of the Spirit" edited by D. Constantine-Simms, In summary this book sums up the nine visible attributes of a true Christian life, which are love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance. Moreover, Fruit of the Soul offers readers a gentle but tenacious opportunity to appreciate God's loving presence and to co-discern God's action in every aspect of life. Fruit of the Soul provides a safe and yet stretching context where each story is honoured as the raw material in which readers can learn to discern and receive God's message without feeling they are under pressure to understand each story based on the interpretation of a preacher, pastor or minister. However, through spiritual self-direction, that will enable readers to discover, how to integrate and express God's present love in our everyday choices.Enjoy this book, and of course try and live by the fruit of the spirit and avoid the rotten fruit of Satan's temptation as much as you can.

The Fruit of the Soul edited by D. Constantine-Simms is a collection of more than 30 inspirational stories based on the original biblical term "Fruit of the Spirit" cited in Galatians 5:22-23, which sums up the nine visible attributes of a true Christian life, which are love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance.

What I find amazing about this book, is that the majority of the narratives, combine religious and contemporary expressions of Christ like traits, which are commensurate with God’s expectations of Christians. Fruit of the Soul is without doubt, an excellent spiritual development tool, that engages and enables readers to appreciate that the nine aforementioned classified traits are not individual "fruits" from which they can pick choose and refuses at will.

Rather, this book subtly reinforces the notion that the fruit of the Spirit is one nine fold "fruit" that characterizes all who truly walk in the Holy Spirit. Collectively, the message emanating from this book provides readers with a safe yet stretching environment, where they can honour and learn to discern and receive God's message in their own time, with a view to living up to the standards which Christians are expected to exude and live by as "Fruit of the Spirit"

Another wonderful aspect of “Fruit of the Soul” is the books ability to offers readers a gentle yet tenacious opportunity to appreciate God's loving spirit, through spiritual self-direction, self learning while encouraging them to integrate and express God's love in their everyday choices. Many readers aspiring to live up to the Christ like traits, who are not quite ready to ready to contemplate reading complex religious text or listen to the interpretations of Jesus Christ from a fire bring speaking pastor or preacher should consider reading this book. This book is excellent and was certainly a good read, and yes the book was a certainly a worthwhile Easter present one of the best I have had for a long time.
